About Me...

I'm a die hard Puch moped enthusiast from Hawaii since the early 90's.  Got my first taste of Puch mopeds when I rode my cousins modified Magnum.  That thing blew me away.  It was fast and looked cool.  A ported out 50cc L-ring Magnum bore on a match ported ZA50 motor with modified clutches, modified stock pipe, Bing 17mm carb, and custom manifold.  All riding on drop bars, cut fork, cut fenders, gadabout fairing, 18x36 gearing, star rims, 2.5-2.75 IRC tires, and custom paint job.  All stock parts "modified" going over 50 mph!!  Two-stroke tuning at its best!!  Soon after that, I put together my first Hawaiian style ZA50 cut fender Puch Maxi racer:

But I shelved my Puch moped for almost a decade when I went off to college and then after entered the "real world".  I also lost interest for my moped due to the lack of available NOS or modified parts in Hawaii.  During my college years, my two-stroke appetite was filled by Honda Elites with Dio motors.  They were so easy to modify with "bolt on" parts that were sold everywhere in Hawaii.  These bikes were fast but it just didn't have the look and feel of my first love the Puch.  I finally got back into Puch mopeds after the advent of EBay and online stores like Moped Junkyard.  Parts for Puchs mopeds were now readily available.  I could finally explore the full potential of modifying a Puch.  My Puch tuning continues today with mopeds being more popular than ever.  Sites like Moped Army, Treatland.tv, VDM Puch Parts, and 1977 Mopeds help feed my two-stroke tuning appetite.

Currently in my stable are three Puch Maxi S, a Puch Maxi N, a Puch Pinto, a Puch Magnum, a 1987 Honda Elite E, Yamaha YSR, a custom mini bike, Puch powered Tomos/Puch Motocross Bike, and a 1980 Vespa 200PE.  All two-strokers with various kits and parts.
