Update: Puch No 5

Scored a rusty generic Schwinn handle bar from a "yard" bike:

extra thick primer coat and some elbow work
had to grind out the handle bar clamps for fit up

used epoxy appliance spray can paint

nice and shiny

Custom Autisa Manifold

This is my attempt to finally make a custom manifold for my old school Autisa kit.  The initial manifold I used was from a Magnum X bike.  For some reason it kept leaking compression.  For this manifold, I used a steel plate and a pipe from an old handle bar.  I attempted to weld it using an Easy Mig welder.  Not the best welding equipment because there was no speed and temperature controls.  Just straight flux core with high or low settings.  But I can't blame everything on the welder.  My weld skillz suck too!!  It started off 'bird shitty', but the end product can speak for itself.  Check it out:

Tech Tip: Bing 17 Filter

Simple tech tip for a Bing 17.  Finding an air filter that fit is getting harder and harder now days.  Instead of finding one that fits over the wide mouth, find one that fits inside of it. I used one that I had lying around. Honed the inside of the mouth a little to make it fit. Then tapped a set screw to hold it in.

Honed and tapped...

...ready to blast on the old school tip
